FAQ

 

We currently roast Monday – Saturday.  We package it the same day in bags with one-way degassing valves so you receive the freshest coffee possible.  We ship Monday-Friday using USPS Priority Mail.  You should receive your coffee within 2-4 days.  A tracking number will be sent to your e-mail. 


In this process, the coffee beans are soaked in a caffeine-free green coffee extract, allowing the caffeine to be extracted from the bean and into the solution while the flavor components are retained in the beans. The now caffeine-saturated green coffee extract is then processed through activated charcoal to remove the caffeine, thus becoming caffeine-free again and ready to extract caffeine from a new batch of coffee. The coffee beans are then dried to their originating moisture level and re-bagged. The Swiss Water Process results in coffee that is 99.9% caffeine free.


Swiss Water is the only chemical/solvent-free method of decaffeination. In other methods of decaffeination, caffeine is captured through the introduction of a volatile solvent such as methylene chloride or ethyl acetate, which allows the caffeine to attach to the solvent and then be recovered through dehydration. However, in the Swiss Water Process, absolutely no chemical solvents are used, and we prefer the all-natural chemical-free method.

Set up an account.  Fill out the form telling us which you prefer...regular, decaf or both, and if you prefer whole bean or ground.  It's that simple. 


Your account will be charged on the day you sign up and then on that day of each subsequent month. (For example, if you join on the 23rd of the month, it will continue to bill on the 23rd of each month following.)


You may change your billing date one time to the date that is most convenient for you.


Whole bean is best and will stay the freshest if you grind just before brewing. However, if you request ground, we'll happily do that for you.  We just need to know which brew method you use. 


For coffee purchases: We will replace lost or damaged packages, but there are no returns. If you have purchased coffee beans from Talking Crow Coffee Roasters, LLC and are not satisfied, or if you joined the coffee club and wish to cancel the remainder due to dissatisfaction, please email info@talkingcrowcoffeeroasters.com and a Talking Crow Coffee Roasters representative will get back to you. We use USPS priority mail with tracking, however, shipping schedules are estimates and we cannot guarantee arrival dates.
