Coffee hacks you need to know!

Two French Press coffee brewers with coffee mugs

We are in for some warm weather and I must say, we are pretty excited about that!  Warm weather means cool, refreshing drinks.  Have you tried Cold Brew yet?  If you aren't sure what that even is, you can read our blog post about it here.

Maybe you want to try it, but you don't want to make two gallons worth.  Here's a hack for a personal size just for you.  All you need is a French Press and 1 cup of coffee beans.

Grind your beans to a coarse grind.  Put them in the bottom of your French Press.  Add water to about 1" from the top. Place your plunger on top.  DO NOT PLUNGE.  LET SIT OVERNIGHT.

In the morning, press as usual.  Serve over ice and embellish as you like - with cream, half and half, milk, alternative milk - or enjoy it just as it is in all its beauty!

This little gem is also a great way to make small batch Cold Brew.

.  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .  .

Do you like iced coffee, but hate that it gets watered down?

Try this!  Fill an ice cube tray with brewed coffee and freeze.  (That big ol' amount of cold brew will come in handy now.)  When the cubes are firm, turn out and store in a zipper freezer bag.  Repeat until you have a good supply.

The next time you want to enjoy your iced coffee, fill your glass with your "coffee cubes" first, then add your favorite brewed coffee.  Sip and enjoy!

Here's to hot summer days with delicious iced coffee to cool you down.

Cheers!
