It may not be cooler where you live (or maybe it is?), but the days are getting shorter for sure. Leaves are turning and soon it really will be sweater weather.
We think this drink is the PERFECT one for this "summer's almost gone, but it's not quite full-blown autumn yet" time.
Enter the Cold Brew with Pumpkin Spice Cold Foam. The cold brew lets you enjoy summer a little longer, while the pumpkin spice cold foam is a true fall vibe.
We make cold brew in larger volumes just so we work smarter not harder. ;-) However you make it, we find that a 1:5 coarse ground coffee to cold water ratio is a great place to start. This will sit for 12-24 hours. After you strain out the grounds, you can decide if you'd like to dilute this concentrate even more.
For the pumpkin spice cold foam you'll need:
3 Tablespoons of heavy cream
2 Tablespoons of milk
1 Tablespoon of maple syrup
1 teaspoon of pumpkin puree (canned pumpkin)
1/2 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
pinch salt
Combine all these ingredients into a milk steaming pitcher (or similar vessel) and foam with a milk frother until smooth and creamy.
To your glass add:
Ice (about 1/2 full) or none at all if your cold brew is chilled and if you prefer.
Cold brew to about 3/4 full.
Top off with Pumpkin spice cold foam.
Sip and Enjoy!
