Colombian coffees are famous for its unmistakable mild, but rich taste and aroma. This coffee comes from the Camino Real wet mill as a regional selection by Anthem Imports. The coffee is carefully sourced from multiple day lots to create a consistent blend of 90% Supremo and 10% Excelso graded coffee.

Swiss Water Process Decaf

Acidity: Low/Medium

Aroma: Black cherry, toasted walnut, chocolate brownie

Body: Medium/Balanced 

Milling Process: Washed

Tasting Notes: Toasted walnut, Chocolate brownie, Orange, Hint of rose

The growing altitude: 1100-1900 meters above sea level.  The varietals for Colombia El Camino Real are Typica, Caturra, and Castillo. The harvest period is September - December.

The Swiss Water Process is a chemical-free method for removing caffeine from green coffee. It involves soaking green coffee in fresh water until it reaches a saturation level that allows the dissolvable solids, including caffeine, to be removed. Caffeine-free green coffee extract (GCE) is then introduced to the beans, which causes the caffeine molecules to bind to the GCE. The now-decaffeinated coffee is then dried to the proper moisture content and rested before shipment.
