We've found a local distillery with the same priority...creating community around craft beverage.
Our whiskey barrel aged coffee starts with our single origin Brazil. We age the green beans for a few weeks in retired American white oak charred whiskey barrels that contained Fox Trail Distillery bourbon whiskey allowing the beans to take in all the flavor that is left in the barrels, slowly developing a complex flavor profile.
The nutty notes from the Brazil pair well with the classic sweetness and subtle spice and malt of the Fox Trail Bourbon Whiskey resulting in a layered tasting profile with a smooth and creamy body.
After the coffee beans have aged, we roast them to a medium level, which best presents the flavors of strong vanilla, oak and bourbon. Whiskey barrel aged coffee can be brewed hot or cold, but more flavor will be detected with cold brew. (Remember you can always heat up cold brew for a hot coffee drink.) There are no alcohol or artificial flavorings in these whiskey barrel coffees.
Produced in the heart of the Ozarks.

The Swiss Water Process is a chemical-free method for removing caffeine from green coffee. It involves soaking green coffee in fresh water until it reaches a saturation level that allows the dissolvable solids, including caffeine, to be removed. Caffeine-free green coffee extract (GCE) is then introduced to the beans, which causes the caffeine molecules to bind to the GCE. The now-decaffeinated coffee is then dried to the proper moisture content and rested before shipment.
